SAN VALENTÍN: EL AMOR MOVERÁ MILLONES DE PESOS ESTE FIN DE SEMANA

Calculan que más de 830 mil personas festejan San Valentín en el país. De ellos, la mitad gastará más de 250 pesos. Hotelería, gastronomía y regalería, los rubros más beneficiados.

Dulce por el motivo, salado por el costo. Así es el Día de los Enamorados últimamente en el mundo y en Córdoba. El amor y el romanticismo serán capaces de mover varios millones de pesos este 14 de febrero que, además de caer sábado, coincide con los feriados por Carnaval. Mejor imposible para el comercio en general, la hotelería y la gastronomía.

El Día de San Valentín es desde hace varios años una fecha especial para la actividad comercial que involucra rubros diferentes. Según datos de la Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (Came), más de 830 mil personas festejan el Día del Amor en el país.

En tanto, de acuerdo a una encuesta reciente realidad por Groupon, el 54 por ciento planea gastar más de 250 pesos para agasajar a su pareja.

Si se toman esos datos como referencia (448.200 personas desembolsando 250 pesos), el Día de los Enamorados generaría gastos por más de 112 millones de pesos en Argentina.

Los hombres tendrán que hacerle frente: según los datos de la encuesta de Groupon, 
para la que se entrevistó a 
más de 20 mil personas en 17 países, el 71 por ciento de los encuestados argentinos declaró que le corresponde pagar al ­varón.

Rubro por rubro

Hotelería. De la tradicional caja de bombones, los más afortunados pasaron en los últimos años a festejar durante un fin de semana completo en un hotel. Hay combos y promociones para todos los gustos y bolsillos, pero, en general, incluyen una cena gourmet con algún espectáculo y la habitación ambientada especialmente para la fecha con chocolates y champagne, por ejemplo.

Los precios de las cenas gourmet más completas superan los mil pesos; mientras que hay suites en hoteles de categoría arriba de los dos mil pesos la noche.

No obstante, para medir el impacto del Día de los Ena­morados en los hoteles de la ciudad de Córdoba se puede tomar como referencia el valor promedio por noche de una habitación ­estándar doble, según la con­sultora Trivago Argentina: 689 pesos.

Asimismo, hay un total de 10.716 plazas y, hasta ayer, reser­vas que superan el 55 por ciento (se estima que irán en crecimien­to con el paso de los días). Con esos números provisorios, sólo la noche del sábado los hoteles de la ciudad facturarían más de cuatro millones de pesos.

Fernando Faraco, de la Asociación Empresaria Hotelera y Gastronómica de Córdoba, aclaró que “hay reservas para el viernes o sábado a la noche solamente y otras para todo el fin de semana”. Por eso, es difícil saber quiénes son los enamorados que festejarán en un hotel y quiénes los turistas que se alojarán en la ciudad durante el fin de semana largo de Carnaval.

“La cantidad de reservas está bien para un día miércoles; en un 55 por ciento”, dijo ayer Faraco, mientras que aseguró que “las expectativas son muy buenas”.

Gastronomía. Es difícil medir hoy la cantidad de mesas que se ocuparán porque la mayoría de los restaurantes y bares no trabaja con reserva. De todos modos, el programa preferido de los enamorados es salir a cenar. Por eso se estima que la ma­yoría trabajará al máximo de 
su capacidad durante la noche del sábado.

En la ciudad de Córdoba hay entre 1.200 y 1.300 restaurantes. Si por cada uno de ellos pasaran 80 personas, con un gasto promedio de 160 pesos, se moverían más de 16 millones de pesos en un rato.

Regalería. San Valentín tiene una incidencia muy moderada en el comercio, que no se ase­meja a la del Día del Amigo y mucho menos al de la Madre, por ejemplo. Pero que se vende, se vende.

Poca expectativa

Bijouterie, perfumes, bombones y golosinas, flores y plantas, indumentaria, lencería y ropa interior, tarjeterías y souvenirs , desayunos, almuerzos y cenas a domicilios y restaurantes son los rubros que más trabajan en esta fecha.

El año pasado, el Día de los Enamorados no logró levantar las ventas de febrero al menos en los Centros Comerciales (según la Dirección de Estadísticas y Censo de la Provincia, ca­yeron 1,6 por ciento en relación a enero).

Las expectativas para este año, en cambio, son lograr al menos mantenerlas.

Dónde ir a comer
Restaurantes. En las páginas 2, 3 y 4 del suplemento VOS que acompaña esta edición, se puede encontrar una completa guía con opciones para elegir a dónde ir a comer el Día de los Enamorados. Hay opciones para todos los gustos y bolsillos, y una buena oportunidad de planificar un homenaje para la pareja.

Reservas. Hasta ayer había 55% de reservas en los hoteles cordobeses.
