En el marco del convenio de Red Federal de Promoción Turística entre las Ciudades de Córdoba y Rosario  las Autoridades de la ciudad portuaria lanzaron la promoción de sus atractivos con miras al receso invernal y adelantaron la presentación como sede de largada del Dakar 2014.
Fue en la sede Asociación Empresaria Hotelera Gastronómica Córdoba, donde el secretario de Turismo de Rosario y Presidente del Ente Turístico Rosario, Héctor De Benedictis, junto a la Lic. Ofelia Polito, autoridades y representantes del sector turístico rosarino, realizaron una charla y capacitación sobre los atractivos de Rosario.
Estuvieron representando al sector público y privado local. La Arq. Analía Righetti y Belén Urquiza, Directora y Sub Directora de Turismo de la Municipalidad de Córdoba, José Gonzalez presidente de la Asociación Cordobesa de Agencias de Viajes (ACAV), Erik Debarre, presidente de la Cámara de Hoteles de Córdoba, Daniel Ciklic, Prosecretario de la ACAV y propietario de la agencia Nativo Viajes, agencias de viajes y operadores turísticos de la ciudad de Córdoba.

Los organizadores brindaron detalles sobre las oportunidades turísticas de Rosario, enfocados especialmente en los espacios con atracciones para familias y los niños, la variada agenda artística, deportiva y cultural, las visitas guiadas a sitios emblemáticos, los paseos urbanos y las reconocidas opciones gastronómicas que posee la ciudad. A su vez, se informó sobre las proyecciones que se abren con la elección de Rosario como sede de largada del próximo Rally Dakar 2014, uno de los eventos más trascendentes del calendario deportivo internacional.
