Al medio día se firmo el acuerdo de Cooperación entre la Secretaría Regional para América Latina y el Caribe de la OCPM y la Ciudad de Córdoba. Fue en el salón de actos del Palacio “6 de Julio” la firma de este importante convenio para promover la inserción de la Ciudad de Córdoba en esta red internacional. Estuvieron presentes en representación de la Municipalidad de Córdoba el Intendente,Dr. Ramón Javier Mestre junto al Secretario de Cultura, Francisco Marchiaro y la Directora de Turismo Arq. Analía Righetti y por el organismo americano, la Secretaria de la Organización de Ciudades Patrimonio Mundial, Paulina Kaplan Depolo, que por la mañana realizó un relevamiento del patrimonio de nuestra ciudad a través de la visita guiada otorgada por la guía municipal Kuki Peralta.

“En América latina necesitamos ser uno solo en el tema de patrimonio por eso como Coordinadora Regional para la zona de América Latina y el Caribe los invito a todos los ciudadanos y a todas las autoridades que están aquí de Córdoba a trabajar juntos. En nuestra organización están los dos podereres más importantes: uno, que es el poder politico através de su alcalde (intendente) y dos, los especialistas en el tema. Muchas veces los especialistas nos sentimos solos en la lucha por el patrimonio, porque no hay recursos, o las prioridades son otras. Pero lo interesante en esta organización es contar con estas dos instancias, la técnica y la política donde exista el diálogo para llegar a cosas importantes”, con fuerte acento transandino se refirió Paulina a la nutrida audiencia y agregó en diálogo exclusivo a Destino Córdoba: “Estoy muy contenta de estar acá para poder establecer lazos. Es muy importante la incorporación de Córdoba en la Organización de las Ciudades Patrimonio Mundial. Hoy hice un magnífico recorrido junto a la Guía local estuve ahí, en el sitio y la verdad es que tienen un gran potencial y se puede hacer muchas cosas en conjunto, creo que es la manera de poder preservar nuestro patrimonio latinoamericano, trabajando juntos y que mejor que la Organización de las Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad. La Ciudad de Córdoba tiene muchísimo para ofrecer y creo que hay que sacarle provecho y que los ciudadanos entiendan que el patrimonio es lo que sustenta su identidad, por lo tanto hay que cuidarlo, es que la participación ciudadana es uno de los pilares más importante para poder preservarlos”.
