Hoteleros rechazan nuevos tributos y piden dólar turista

Alrededor de 300 dirigentes empresariales hoteleros y gastronómicos del país demostraron su preocupación por los constantes incrementos de la presión tributaria provincial y municipal.

En el marco de su 203º Reunión de Consejo Directivo de la Federación Empresaria Hotelera Gastronómica de la República Argentina (Fehgra), alrededor de trecientos dirigentes empresariales hoteleros del país manifestaron su preocupación por los constantes incrementos de la presión tributaria ejercida por la mayoría de los Estados provinciales y municipales.

En la reunión que se realizó los pasados jueves 3 y viernes 4 en San Martín de los Andes, la entidad conformada por 63 filiales advirtió entre sus conclusiones de que, en un contexto inflacionario, la aplicación de nuevas tasas “no sólo afecta notablemente la rentabilidad de los establecimientos, sino que también pone en riesgo la continuidad de las fuentes de trabajo”.

Por otra parte, se requirió la incorporación de un dólar turístico, que devuelva la competitividad frente al mercado extranjero.

Otros pedidos
Entre otra de las conclusiones y demandas que surgieron al cierre de la jornada, se destacó la necesidad de continuar con las acciones tendientes a obtener valores razonables por el uso de los derechos intelectuales que se deben abonar a las cinco entidades reconocidas por el Estado para el cobro de los diferentes aranceles. Además, se instó a intensificar las acciones tendientes a combatir el continuo crecimiento de toda oferta de alojamiento informal no registrado, que representa una competencia desleal en perjuicio de la actividad y de la seguridad del turista.

También se rechazó enfáticamente, una vez más, la intención de implementar el room tax/room fee.

Por otro lado, la entidad se propuso fortalecer su trabajo federal en pos de los intereses de la actividad hotelera gastronómica en todas las regiones, por medio de un mayor compromiso por parte de todas y cada una de las filiales en la participación de todos los eventos que realiza Fehgra relacionados con la capacitación y la promoción turística.

Asimismo se destacó el rol preponderante de la entidad en la concreción de la Feria Internacional de Turismo, Termalia que se realizará en Las Termas de Río Hondo, del 2 al 4 de octubre, organizada por Expourense y en la que participa en forma conjunta el Ministerio de Turismo de la Nación, el Gobierno de la Provincia de Santiago del Estero y la Cámara Argentina de Turismo.

Durante el encuentro disertó el economista Alfonso Prat-Gay, quien destacó que “Argentina hoy tiene posibilidades de crecimiento que hace décadas atrás no estaban presentes”.

Consultado sobre las posibilidades de tener un “dolar turístico”, Prat Gay dijo que sería una herramienta muy eficiente y opinó que “2014 va a ser un año difícil, con caída de ventas en algunos sectores, y que en los próximos meses la discusión no va a ser el salario sino mantener el empleo. Sin embargo, destacó que Argentina tiene todas las condiciones para crecer, con grandes reservas naturales, productivos sectores dinámicos, una clase trabajadora fuerte y vecinos que pueden potenciar cualidades que no presentan muchos países”.
